SWIFT GERMANY (St Lawrence Cutlery) 2-Blade Swell Center Sleeveboard Pen Folding Pocket Knife with a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Long Nail Pull, a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Nice Set of Brown Jigged Bone Scales in Excellent Plus Condition with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, a Brightly Polished German Silver Crest Shaped Shield on the Front Scale, Three (3) Brightly Polished Brass Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished German Silver Rounded Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, a Single Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 3” in Length, Made in Germany by the St Lawrence Cutlery Co Using Their I.M. Swift Trademark and Made Between c.1886-1914. 

This is a hard to find brand made by the St Lawrence Cutlery Company of Germany using their I.M. Swift trademark between c.1886-1914. The knife has a used and sharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a long nail pull. The front face has some light scattered pitting mostly on the last half of the blade. The rear face has just a very few light scattered pits. Stamped on the front tang is I.M. (over) SWIFT (over) GERMANY. On the other end of the frame is a used and sharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common Bail pull. Both faces have some scratches from use and some very light scattered pitting. Stamped on the front tang is I.M. (over) SWIFT (over) GERMANY. The pen blade has an excellent hard open and close snap as well as a hard half-stop. The spear blade has an excellent hard snap on open, close and a lighter half-stop. The scales are a great looking set of light brown jigged bone. They’re in excellent shape with no cracks, splits or missing chips. There’s a crest shaped German Silver shield on the front scale. There are three (3) brightly polished brass handle pins in each scale. The rounded bolsters are brightly polished German Silver. The liners are brightly polished brass. The knife has a single steel back spring which is free of any cracks or breaks and continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. This vintage, hard brand to find, I.M.
