This Vintage Antique Kamp Cutlery Co. 1-Blade Easy Open Jack Pocket Knife looks to have hardly been used or sharpened. The knife has a lightly used and unsharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a long nail pull pull. Both faces are generally clean but they do have some light scratches and liner scuff on the rear face. Etched deeply in the front face of the blade is “Easy Opener” in a fancy period font. Stamped on the front tang is KAMP (over) CUTLERY Co (over) GERMANY. The blade still has excellent snap on open and close and a hard half-stop. The knife has a nice set of black Ebony wood scales. I can’t really tell if the pins have minor pressure cracks or if just the very top layer of the wood popped off when the scales were installed. Either way they’re very minor. The knife gas the deep easy open on the Barehead end of the knife. There is a brightly polished German Silver gimp style shield inlaid in the front scale. There are three German Silver Handle pins in each handle. It has a single steel back spring that’s free of any cracks or breaks and it continues to perform its designed functions. This Vintage Antique Kamp Cutlery Co Germany 1-Blade Easy Open Jack is in excellent condition at just about 121 years old. And the deep Blade Etch is definitely a nice attribute.
