C.M. DAKE BOWIE KNIFE
C.M. DAKE BOWIE KNIFE measures 15 1/8" overall with a 10 1/4" blade. C.M. Dake (Charlie) is a renowned maker from Louisiana and this is an example of his very early work. Charlie attended the very first knife shows the GCKC had in Houston TX. and it was immediately evident that he had immense talent as is shown in this knife. Charlie quickly progressed to the point of maikng some of the very finest automatic knives available from custom makers. If you are interested in purchasing and would like to know the history of this knife I would be glad to tell you what I can. I believe the blade steel is 440C.
Both the knife and sheath are marked C.M. Dake. The knife blade does show some very minor wear in the bead blasted finish. Beautiful heavy Samber Stag handle with NSL trimmings.
