Stainless Model No. 2342  2-Blade Equal End Oval Pen Folding Pocket Knife with a Used and Sharpened Stainless Steel Long Spear Point Main Blade with a Long Nail Pull, a Used and Sharpened Stainless Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Great Set of French Pearl Scales with a Blue and Gold Circular Masonic Emblem on the Front Scale with No Cracks, Splits or Missing Chips, Three (3) Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Rounded Tip Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, a Single Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 2 3/4” in Length, Made by the Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. that was Located in Little Valley, New York and Made Between c.1886-1963.

This is a Cattaraugus Cutlery Co CATTARAUGUS STAINLESS Model No. 2342 2-Blade Equal End Oval Pen Folding Pocket Knife. end Oval pen pocket knife with a nice set of French Pearl scales. The knife has a used and sharpened carbon steel long spear point main blade with a long nail pull. There are quite a few scratches from use and sharpening but it otherwise is clean and polished up brightly. Stamped on the front tang is CATTARAUGUS (over) STAINLESS. Stamped on the rear tang is the code number for the knife of 2342. This indicates this knife to be a 2-blade equal end pen knife with French Pearl scales and tip bolsters. The knife also has a used and sharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull.  Both faces are lousy with scratches from use and sharpening. But both faces are cleaned and polished up brightly. The spear blade has excellent and loud open and close snap.  The pen blade has a light "thud" on open but an excellent and loud snap on close. The knife has a nice set of pale yellow French Pearl Scales. They're in good condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips but they do have some light scratches and some dings on the rear scale. There is a round Masonic emblem on the front scale. It has a gold toned right angle and compass and then a gold toned letter G on a white background in the center of the emblem. The outside edges of the circle are gold toned as well. There are three (3) nickel silver handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver rounded tip bolsters. They’re all free of any dents, dings or visible scratches. The liners are brightly polished brass. The knife has a single steel back spring and it's free of any cracks, breaks or missing chips though they do have some light scratches and several dings on the rear scale. It continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. The knife is 2 3/4” in length. Made by the Cattaraugus Cutlery Company that was located in Little Valley, New York and made between c.1886-1963. Additional photos or information on request.
