This is a Vintage CATTARAUGUS CUTLERY Co. LITTLE VALLEY N.Y. Model No. 22609 Equal End Pen Folding Pocket Knife with a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Used and Sharpened Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, Medium Brown Worm Grooved Jigged Bovine Bone Scales with a Single Very Tight Crack on the Frant Scale End Pin, Three (3) Nickel Silver Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Rounded Bolsters with No Dents or Dings, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, a Single Brightly Polished Steel Back Spring with No Cracks or Breaks, 3” in Length, Made by the Cattaraugus Cutlery Co. Located in Little Valley, New York and Made Between c.1886-1963. 

This is a vintage Cattaraugus Cutlery Co Model No. 22609 Equal End Pen Folding Pocket Knife.  It has a used and sharpened carbon steel spear point main blade with a common nail pull. The front face has scratches from use and sharpening but just a few light pits up nearer to the blade tip.  The rear face is pretty clean with the exception of scratches from use and scratches. Stamped on the front tang is CATTARAUGUS (in an arch) (over) CUTLERY Co. (over) LITTLE VALLEY (over) N.Y.  On the other end of the frame is a used and sharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail pull. It has numerous scratches from use and sharpening but is otherwise clean. Stamped on the front tang is the knife code of 22609 though the bottom part of the numbers has been worn away. Both blades still have excellent open and close. It has a set of medium brown worm grooved jigged bovine bone scales. There's a single tight hard to see end pin crack on the front scale but there are no other cracks, splits or missing chips. There are three (3) nickel silver pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver rounded bolsters and all are free of any dents or dings. The liners are brightly polished brass. The knife has a single brightly polished steel back spring. It’s free of any cracks or breaks and continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. This nice Cattaraugus Cutlery Co Model No. 22609 Equal End Pen Pocket Knife is 3“ in length. Made at the Cattaraugus factory in Little Valley, New York between c.1886 and 1963.
