Steve Vanderkolff Native Taillock 4".. Mammoth and Polished Damasteel...Fluted Integral bolsters
Steve Vanderkolff 4" Native dressed in White Crackle mammoth ivory paired with Loki Damasteel, true Swedish Stainless Damascus. He builds a little heavier than American makers. Great look and mechanics. Pull is a 4...gator snap, with any lockback its unusual to get slipjoint snap...this is Bobby Tooles taillock set up... as passed to Steve Vanderkolff..flush and aligns...no play..no wobble. Also Steve now does integral bolsters rather than soldered on, that's a BIG STEP for a maker. Ships next day free conus priority. Blade Magazine showcased Steve Vanderkolff and his outstanding Slipjoints in their June edition. But heh... you saw him here first. I have a video posted on my YouTube channel of it, 3fingermac. Everything is polished..but the blade is laser polished damasteel..I think it looks better than hand rubbed, imho.
