D R Davis out of Kentucky makes some fine slipjoints...he uses mostly natural materials for scales and all his works are one ofs... he puts everything into each build. This showpiece Serpentine is a great example. Polished mammoth tooth scales..over steel jeweled liners with steel bolsters and end caps All metal is highly polished and he fileworked the backspring. His mechanics offer a 5 pull with great snap and I've posted a video on YouTube. Flush in all 3 with dead on alignment it weighs in at 2.4ozs.
