This is a ***RARE*** Vintage and Antique PHOENIX KNIFE CO PHOENIX NY 2-Blade 3 1/4” Long Slim Jack Folding Pocket Knife with a Carbon Steel Long Spear Point Main Blade with a Long Matchstriker Nail Pull, a Carbon Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Set of Genuine Mother-of-Pearl Scales with Only a Little Light Chipping on the Very Bottom of the Front Scale but No Cracks or Splits, Three (3) Nickel Silver Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Square Bolsters, Brightly Polished Rounded Nickel Silver End Caps, Brightly Polished Nickel Silver Liners, Two Steel Back Springs with No Breaks or Cracks, 3 1/4” in Length, Made by the Phoenix Knife Co. located in Phoenix, New York and Made Between c.1892-1916.

This is a RARE really nice looking PHOENIX KNIFE CO 2-Blade Slim Jack folding pocket knife. It has a used and sharpened carbon steel long spear point main blade with a long matchstriker nail pull. The front  face has just a very few very scattered light pits and some hard to see light staining.  The rear face has just a few very light pits just under the swedge. Stamped on the front tang is PHOENIX KNIFE (in a full arch)(over) CO (over) PHOENIX, N.Y.  It also has a used and sharpened carbon steel pen secondary blade with a common nail The front face gas some scratches from use and a couple of light pits and a little very light staining by the blade tip. The rear face is pretty clean with just a speck or two. Stamped on the front tang is PHOENIX KNIFE (in a full arch)(over) CO (over) PHOENIX, N.Y. Both blades polished up very well.  Both blades still have very good open and close snap and excellent half-stops. The scales on this knife are a set of genuine Mother of Pearl. The only flaw on these scales is a little chipping on the very bottom of the front scale about 5/8” long near the center. Certainly wasn’t a deal breaker for me and not bade for a knife that’s between 105 and 129 years old. There are three (3) nickel silver handle pins in each scale. The knife has brightly polished nickel silver square bolsters and brightly polished nickel silver rounded end caps. The liners are polished nickel silver as well.  The knife gas two (2) steel back springs with no cracks or breaks. Both continue to perform the functions they were designed to perform.  This vintage antique Phoenix Knife Co 2-Blade Slim Jack was made in Phoenix, N.Y. between c.1892-1916 and is 3 1/4” in length.
