Northwoods Made By G.E.C. U.S.A. Manufactured before 2010'
Hello, This is a Northwoods Fremont pattern Knife I purchased new for my own personal collection. It has never been used or sharpened it is as I recieved it from Great Eastern Cutlery. The Mamoth Bark ivory handle scales are what caught my eye. I fell in love with the creamy feel of ivory and began collecting Ivory handled knives. The blade is 1095 carbon steel, Nickel Silver liners, Bolsters. If i remember correctly the blade shape is called Sheepsfoot. I've only done yearly periodic maintance consisting of a drop of oil on the pivot of blade and used a product called Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax Polish. I attribute the use of this fine product to the blade not turning the "blueish" color that 1095 when used or handled will do. Comes in it's Top Quality Leather pocket sheeth.
