Grant Stores of New York City.

This is a Crucible Cutlery Co 2-Blade Easy Open Teardrop Jack Folding Pocket Knife. The knife has a carbon steel spear point main blade with a long nail pull. The front face has scratches from use and sharpening and scattered pitting along with several cluster of light pitting. The rear face has some staining and micr-pitting mainly from the mid-point up. The rear face has some scattered light stains. The blade looks to be 100% full. Stamped on the front tang is CRUCIBLE KNIFE (in a full arch)(over) CO (over)NEW YORK. It also has a carbon steel pen secondary blade which also has a longish common nail pull.  Both faces have some scattered light staining and micro-pitting. The pen blade also looks to be 100% full.  Both blades look to be only lightly used and are unsharpened. Both blades still have excellent hard open snap and good snap on close. Both blades have hard half-stops. The covers on this knife seem to be faux tortoise solid composition. The front face is smooth and the rear scale is rough. There is a single end pin crack on the rear scale from the open end end pin to the liner. There is a brightly polished nickel silver crest shaped shield inlaid flush in the front scale. There are four (4) nickel silver handle pins in each scale.  The knife has brightly polished nickel silver rounded bolsters and the liners are polished brass. The knife has two (2) steel back springs with no cracks or breaks and it still  continues to perform the functions it was designed to perform. The knife is 3 9/16” in length and made in Lynn, Massachusetts between c.1921-1932 and were made for sale in the W.T. Grant stores that were headquartered in New York City.  Additional photos or information on request.
