Here’s is something different. This feathered “W” damascus patterned knife is one of two I am offering. The method consists of forge welding 1095, 1084, 15n20 into a billet, the stacking, cutting and re-welding / really-stacking multiple times utilizing the different steels to create a feathered look when etched. (15n20 has nickel which is etch resistant). This knife is made in traditional Puukko fashion with a single bevel edge. This edge usually needs only honing and my favorite edge to use for the most part. The guard is flush to the tang nested in a guard of nickel silver. The beefy handle is dyed curly maple and shaped to best fit and use. The sheath is also curly maple which hold the blade secure. The sheath tip is a solid, harder wood, to better resist scuffs and dings. The leather dangler fit any modern belt width. The overall length is 8 3/8”, the blade is 3 3/8” and 3/16” thick.
