This knife is hand forged from W2 steel, (drill rod, file steel), overall hardness is 60 with both vertical grind lines and full length hand-sanded finish to show clear, crisp bevel accents especially on the swedge edge. The handle is a beautiful piece of bocote exotic wood and the hidden tang extends through out while the guard and pommel are nickel silver and balance well. Please notice pin is domed. Unique about the knife is the 5 3/4” handle. I don’t like a small handle and depending on the type of knife most I make offer 4.25 to 4.5” But the extended handle is really nice as it adds leverage and advantage to different use whether chopping, slicing/dressing game or choking up for specific cuts. I plan to utilize this design more on future knives and wish I would have done this years ago. The overall length is 11.5” and the blade is just under 6”.
