This is a Vintage But Most Likely a Reproduction of a BOOTH BROS CELEBRATED 3-Blade Equal End Stockman or Just a 3-Blade Equal End Pen Folding Pocket Knife, with an Unused and Unsharpened Stainless Steel Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, it’s Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge, an Unused and Unsharpened Stainless Steel Pen Secondary Blade with a Common Nail Pull and it’s Original Factory Mirror Polish and it’s Original Factory Edge, a Stainless Steel Dual-Sided Nail File, or Manicure, Tertiary Blade, an Excellent Plus Set of Genuine Mother-of-Pearl Scales in Perfect Condition with NonCracks, Splits or Missing Chips, a Brightly Polished German Silver Band in the Center of the Scales, Four (4) Brightly Polished German Silver Handle Pins in Each Scale, Brightly Polished German Silver Rounded Bolsters, Brightly Polished Brass Liners, Two (2) Steel Back Springs with No Cracks or Breaks and Just a Few Light Pits, 3 3/8” in Length, Made in Solingen, Germany.  

This was sold to me as an original Booth Bros pocket knife  But since Booth Bros Celebrated was thought to be in business between c.1900-1909 and stainless steel blades were just being tested on pocket knives after the mid-19teens it’s unlikely it’s an original  no idea who would’ve remade it but at least it was made in Solingen and not of the million plus factories in China.  I’ve seen a few others in different variations and they’re always sold as Booth Bros with no claim to age and neither am I  But it is really a very nice well made solid German made pocket knife.  All 3 blades are stainless steel and the two cutting blades still have their original factory mirror Polish (as does the file blade) and their original factory edge.  It has a spear point main blade with a common nail pull.  Stamped on the front tang is the original Booth Bros Celebrated tang stamp which is an image of a pair of wings and a crown (over) BOOTH (over) BROS (over) CELEBRATED.  Stamped on the rear tang inside a 2-tiered banner is ROSTFREI (German for stainless)(over) SOLINGEN.  Next to it is a dual-sided nail file, or manicure, tertiary blade. It has a standard vertical ridge and valley type nail file on one face and two parallel recessed files on the other face.  The top portion of the blade is the fingernail cleaner. On the other end of the frame is a pen secondary cutting blade with a common nail pull.  It has a single letter R stamped on the front tang which, I believe, stands for ROSTFREI.  All 3 blades still have excellent open and close snap. The knife has an excellent plus set of translucent genuine Mother-of-Pearl scales in perfect condition. They’re free of any cracks, splits or missing chips. There is a single recessed German Silver band that separates the scales into two sections. There are four (4) brightly polished German Silver handle pins in each scales. The bolsters are brightly polished rounded German Silver as well. The knife has brightly polished brass liners and two (2) steel back springs.  The springs are both free of any cracks or breaks and both continue perform the functions they were designed to perform  They do have a little bit of light pitting which is the only reason I didn’t call this knife mint  This great looking German made Booth Bros Celebrated reproduction knife is as solid as any knife out there and would make a great EDC or would compliment any collection of pocket knives with Pearl handles or being German made.  The knife is 3 3/8” in length.  Additional information or photos upon request.
