This is a Vintage Barely Used and Unsharpened B.B. CO. 2-Blade Gold Toned Embossed Sleeveboard Shadow Pen Folding Pocket Knife with a Barely Used and Unsharpened Carbon Steel Narrow Spear Point Main Blade with a Common Nail Pull, a Carbon Steel Nail File, or Manicure, Secondary Blade with a Long Nail Pull, A Nice Set of Decorative Gold Toned Embossed Metal Scales with Horizontal Stripes on The Front Side and a Smooth Surface on the Rear Side, the Original Bail Still Riveted to the Frame and Stamped B.B. CO., Internal Springs, 2 3/16” in Length, Made by B.B. Knife Company Located in Beaverbrook, Massachusetts and Made from the Late 1880’s to the Early 1900’s.

This is a nice looking used vintage gold toned embossed metal Sleeveboard shadow lobster pen pocket or watch fob knife. The knife has a lightly used and unsharpened carbon steel narrow spear point main blade with a common nail pull. Both faces have scratches from use and no more than a few scattered very light pits. It still has most of its original factory mirror polish and its original factory edge. Stamped on the front tang is a large vertically stamped letter “B”. Opening from the bottom of the frame is a carbon steel nail file, or manicure, blade with a long nail pull. It has quite a bit of light pitting on all three flat sides. It has a standard vertical ridge and valley nail file on the face that folds down into the frame. The top portion of the blade is the finger nail cleaner. The spear blade has excellent snap on open and close and a hard half-stop. The manicure blade has a good “thump” on open and a good snap on close. The handles are brightly polished gold toned embossed metal. The front scale has varying patterns of horizontal lines with a flat surfaces rectangle for etching one’s initials or name. The rear scale is a smooth flat surface. The original gold toned or brass bail is still attached to the frame with rivets. The bail is stamped B.B. CO. The handles also serve as the liners. The knife has internal back springs. This Vintage Antique B.B. Knife Company ornate gold toned Sleeveboard shadow lobster pen pocket or watch fob knife is 2 3/16” in length. The company is thought to be in business from the 1880’s and up until at least c.1902. Additional photos or information on request.
