This is a great example of the old way knives were made.  This Henckels stockman has stag handles that retains the bark right up to the bolsters.  When you look down the knife from above you see how thin this stag is from the craftsman cutting the excess stag off the back of the slab instead of hafting the bark off of the front side to make it fit under the bolsters, like modern cutlers are wont to do.  The tang stamp on this would indicate that Boker made this for Henckels in the mid 1970's, since Henckels stopped making their own pocket knives in the 60's.  The handles are chip and crack free.  The blades have not been used or resharpened and retain their factory edge.  Bolsters, pins, liners and shield are all nickel silver.  The lack of brass is most likely the reason this knife is in such great shape.  Measures 3 1/2" closed OAL.  Great snap and no wobble or play.  Comes in a period correct box, I think the original has a full model number and this one seems to be a common box for these and has no model numbers on it.   Free shipping within the USA.
