At the time this knife was made, small shops and factories relied on water power from the local rivers; there was no electricity. This kind of a knife was made inside the Henckels factory by special cutlers with great ability. looking like a Toledo Spain knife, it was made very differently using black enamel inside the gold washed brass. All the dots and pins were haand finished. 3" closed, it incorporates a scissors, manicure/file blade that rides off the two back springs,a small pen blade and the master blade, tang stamped J.A. henckels Twins logo and Solingen. The twins logo is one of the earliest ones I have ever seen. So, a masterpiece made by an unknown cutler.
