ADDITIONAL INFO:     I don't know much about this knife, or the brand. I have been around long enough to see a number of them, and they all seem to be good quality. I have had some of them, but had no complaints. I know some of them are marked Japan and some are marked Taiwan. It seems to be a good solid knife. My experience with knives made in Taiwan is that they are good quality knives usually  similar to comparable Japanese knives. Here's a good extra tackle box knife stainless steel, or a good knife for that young person would just starting out.
