ADDITIONAL INFO:     I don’t know a great deal about this knife, in fact I know very little other than it was made for Belknap Louisville. John Goins dates Belknap Hardware Company Louisville as a name that came into use in 1968 and was used or 1985. While Goins does not list this many tang stamps for Belknap, this seems to be the logical date range. I know Belknap sold a lot of knives, their main supplier seemed to be Schrade Walden (Schrade) and Boker. I have several Belknap hardware catalogs from the that timeframe but don’t remember seeing any listed like this with the Belknap name. I may just have missed it, but I think this is a fairly uncommon thing stamp. Price low for those who would like to collect the tang stamp just for an example of the stamp.
