The Birdvis custom is his modern pattern Hitchcock.3 3/8" closed, comes with a Reverse tanto blade, mill relieved ss pivot, frame and pins are steel, has a Cross cut micarta pivot collar and No Swedge. This is the 2nd Hitchcock made by Nick and the only no swedge and the first with a pivot collar. Nick said he had experimented with the Native and Dino pattern and had settled on the Hitchcock name and pattern specs in April 2020, he made this one with no swedge as one of the last preorders he took. The blade is Cpm-154 Stainless steel and features Black Micarta scales with an inlaid steel shield. Birdvis, Nick Timpson, has patented the Hitchcock pattern. I can see some faint lines on blade and sent them to him to look at, knife never touched to sharpen, He says it looks like strop marks, light feather higher off edge than I'd seen before. It should polish out I just no longer can do it, I was concerned it might be stress fractures in steel, sent about 20 pics, Nick was very helpful but didn't think it was a cause for alarm or structural issue. I'm just not going to sell a knife of this quality and price if I see something I need to know what it is.
