This is a Cattaraugus Cutlery Mediterranean Barlow.  A.G. Russell had these made for his KCC, or Knife Collectors Club back in the late 90's or early 2000's.  Made in Seki Japan by some of Japan's finest craftsmen, this knife has a very unique blade locking system.  The entire front side handle slides to release the blade lock.  You can see this in the pictures where the blade is half open, how the handle is slid above the other half.  The handles are chip and crack free red jigged bone.  The stainless steel blade has not been used or resharpened.  The bolsters, pins and liners are nickel silver.  Mirror polish on the backspring, bolsters and blade really make this look sharp.  This knife is a factory second, the little notch in the tang is an indication that it didn't pass A.G.'s satisfaction and had an imperfection.  The only imperfection that I can find is a slight bit of wobble from side to side in the blade, and it's very slight.  Measures 3 3/8" closed OAL.  Comes with the original box.  Free shipping within the USA.
