CONDITION:   Near Mint

DAMAGE:   None noted, may have slight shop wear or tarnish to bolsters.

BLADE WEAR:  Blades appear to be full, no discernible marks from sharpening.

SNAP:   Snaps like a little bear trap!

 ADDITIONAL INFO:   This is a nice tight little whittler that appears not to have been used. There is no blade wobble it is just a beautiful little knife. It has bone handles and the federal type shield. It has great walk and talk and hard snap! I believe this was probably made by Henckels themselves prior to 1960 when they stop making pocketknives and started having them made by Boker. Boker makes good pocketknives, but I do not recognize this pattern as being a Boker pattern and it does not have the round shield. The only Henckels I have seen that were made by Boker had the round shield with the twin logo on the. This one does not have that it has the federal shield inlaid in the bone handle. In addition, all 3 blades are tang stamped which usually indicates a knife that was made earlier rather than later. It would be my best guesstimation that this knife was made prior to 1960 at the Henckels factory. Someone more familiar with the Henckels brand could confirm that or or perhaps deny that.
