Large Candy Striped Lady's Leg knife circa 1879-1948
This is a Vintage NCCO NOVELTY CUTLERY CO. 1-Blade Novelty Leg Knife with a Single Clip Blade and a great set of Yellow, Red and Green Celluloid Scales made originally between c.1879-1948 in Canton, Ohio Near Mint Condition. This is a simple single blade novelty leg knife. The knife is in unused and unsharpened condition. The knife has a single 4" long saber clip blade in unused mint condition. Stamped on the front tang is simply NCCO. The blade has hard open and close snap. The scales are made with a thin paper substrate with green, yellow and red candy stripes and that is covered with the clear celluloid. The handles are great condition with no cracks, splits or missing chips. It appears at first there's a pin crack on the reverse scale but I think it's actually in the paper substrate. Just some light hard to see scratches. The bolsters are more than likely nickel silver and are all free of of any dents, dings or visible scratches. The liners and pins are all brass. The single steel back spring has no breaks or cracks and is still working as designed to do. Knife is 5" long.
