Webster Marble's favorite tie pin was a miniature Safety Axe. He not only was very proud of his invention, but because too Marble, an axe symbolized a woodsman. He thought axe's could preform most task's a knife could, and a whole lot more. This axe is what brought worldwde fame to W. L. Marble, and made the Marble Safety Axe Co. a household name. It also put Gladstone, Michigan, on the map forever in American Cutlery History !!!

Folk's, since 1892, Marble's has made 15 versions of the legendary Safety Axe....this one is the last with the corp. going out of business a few yrs back...using 21st century technology, while sticking as close too humanly possible to Webster Marble's basic 120 year old design, this axe with up to date technology was born for the new generation of sportsman/women...this axe is sure to be one of the 1st things packed on your next outing !!!

This is the Marble's Safety Axe

Axe is 11 1/2" OAL with 4 1/2" head

Head is stamped: Marble's Outdoors, Safety Axe - since 1898

Cutting edge is 2 3/4"

Head is forged high carbon and weighs 20 oz....50-52 Rockwell C

Handle is high impact, all weather, engineered resin composition as is the folding safety guard

Condition: Axe is Near Mint, never used, head is Tight as a drum, Axe is made in U.S.A.
