DAMAGE:   Normal use and wear marks, scratches & scuffs. The bail was bent and twisted when I got the knife. I removed the old bail and replaced it with another bail from an age-appropriate knife.

ADDITIONAL INFO:     The rope knives are traditional knives issued by navies. There were two main rope knives that were used in World War II, the Camillus rope knife in a slightly different model made by Kutmaster and Imperial. All three brands were different lengths; the Camillus was 4.375”, the Kutmaster was 4.25” in the Imperial was 4.0”. The knives were designed and approved by the Coast Guard as safety equipment carried on board ships and I believe also on life rafts.
