Folk's, this is an old classic blade pattern, reminscent of the old west early 1800's buffalo skinner !!!This type knife was one of the most popular in the settling of the American West !!! The rearward part of the blade edge is is straight & paralel's the center-line of the blade... The forward half of the blade curves quickly to the point above the centerline...The cutting power of this blade on this Bison must be used to be understood !!! When Jim & Craig Lauerman bought Marble's in 1994, they dedicated themselves to bring the company back to its former glory. Well in my opinion, they did just that. Webster Marble would surely be proud !!! From 1997 to 2002, Marble's churned out some of their best fixed blade knives in their 112 yr history !

With Mike Stewart heading their knife division,they got one of the most respected knife guys in the state... they re-created old classics & came out with new blade patterns knives like the one below !!! This knife as far as I am concerned is great hunting knife for guttin or skinnin with the blade pattern it has... The Bonus, it bears the Marble's address on the stamp & being a lifelong Michigan resident & Marble's collector, that's the iceing on the cake !!!

This is a Marble's Bison Stag / Aluminum Hunter

Knife is 9" OAL with a 4 3/4" blade

Knife is stamped: Marble's Gladstone, Mi. U.S.A.

Blade is 52/100B high carbon ball bearing steel. This type steel dominated the ABS sponsored World Cutting Championships !!! The blade is .216 thousands thick folk's. Measure up your Case 523-5's or Kodiaks and you will come up with allmost half that !!!

Handle is beautifull Stag, nice Stag bark around the whole handle, topped off with an aluminum pommel... All this tied together with the famous Marble's spacer system, age old construction !!!

Knife is New in Box, never used or carried

Knife comes with an oil tanned stamped Marble's leather sheath, pouch / tube type that carries the whole knife, very nice sheath
