990’s RIGID RG 69 – G. Sakai; Seki, Japan

The RIGID Knife Company dates back to the 70's building quality knives in the USA. After they went out of business, United Cutlery bought the rights to the name and contracted with several companies from across the globe and made several models (some very nice ones including this Rigid Bowie).

This model, the RG-69, was made in SEKI CITY, JAPAN by G. SAKAI, (which also made Al Mar's fixed blades), Mike Stewart of Blackjack’s Teton Bowie, and resembles Cold Steel's Trailmaster Bowie. This is a high quality piece. The Blade which measures 9 1/2" is razor sharp, and is marked as "U2X Steel" which is a proprietary steel of G SAKAI, basically the same as AUS-8 Stainless.

Overall length is 14 1/4". Features a brass finger guard and non slip rubberized (Kraton) handles with a lanyard hole. Excellent balance and feel. Includes a top quality leather belt sheath. This model has been stored in box and carries a sharp factory edge.

Overall Length: 14 1/4"

Blade Length:    9 1/2"

Blade Material: U2X (AUS-8 Stainless)

Handle Material: Rubberized (Kraton)

Sheath: Leather Belt Sheath
