So, I have decided to start letting a few piece's of my collection go to other Marble's collectors around the country. All of my Compasses & Waterproof Match Boxes are Antique / Vintage

Marbles compasses have been carried to the far corners of the globe. To the 1st expeditions to the north and south pole, deep in the Amazon & Africa...Lindberg used one on the 1st trans-atlantic flight that is now displayed in the Smithsonian !!!

For all of WL Marble's fame as a knife & axe maker, he thought his compasses & match box's were his greatest contributions to the sportsman. People around him often tired of him saying: No sportsman should go into the woods without a compass...No woodsman would think of it !!!

This is a Marble's Brass Pin-On Compass

Compass is stamped on back case : Marbles, Gladstone, Mich. U.S.A.

This one I believe is a very, very, eary pin on design, maybe late 1920's too early 1930's......it has the same color face, numerals, jewel, as my 1918-1928 long stem compass...also from what the previous owner said who was set up at the Michigan Antique Arms show I bought it at 3-4 yrs ago
