MARBLE'S VINTAGE IDEAL KNIFE, 5" Blade
This vintage Marble's Ideal knife with a 5" blade and an overall length of 9". The handle is a Lucite-like material with red and silver spacers. It has a double brass guard and an aluminum pommel. A lot of hunting knives were rehandled during war time by our soldiers overseas, be it WW II, Korea or other conflicts. That's how they got the name, Theater Knives. The stamping on the ricasso is in good condition and reads "Marble's, Gladstone, Mich. U.S.A.". The Marble sheath - the rivets, snap and stitching - is in good condition. A nice solid knife. This has been well cared for, and would be an interesting addition to your collection.
