(IMO) The amber stag (cow) bone handles are some of the best looking on the market today. This knife comes to you new in the vintage looking two piece box protected by a black velvet pouch. Blades are 420 Stainless Steel polished to a mirror finish on the mark side and given a crocus finish on the pile side following an old tradition for quality made American cutlery. The master spear blade is swedged. Pins and liners are brass. The slanted, pinched, and groved bolsters are nickel silver. It measures 3 9/16 inches closed and has a heft and solid feel that can only be appreciated by having it in your hand. This knife is a shining example of quality handmade American craftsmanship. If you don't already own a Canal Street, this would be a great one to start your collection of them. If you already have one or more Canal Streets, then you already know the skill that goes into their production.
