Webster Marble being an inventor supreme, was allways trying to come up with the perfect outdoor tool. The same way he invented a small axe...the safety axe...that could do the work of a large knife...he tried too make a large knife that would do the work of an axe...his answer was the Trailmaker !!! He was quoted as saying: there is no one cutting tool that will serve as many purposes as the Trail Maker...He came up with the name TrailMaker from a then common practice of marking trails by cutting bark off the side of trees and following the marked trees out !!!

Knife is 15" OAL with a 10" blade

Knife is acid etched stamped: Marble's with the Banner stamp...I believe this is a transition model...made in 2002 with the etched stamp before Marble's got their new Banner stamp together....When Mike Stewart was there from 1997-2002...you can tell by the spacer system order exactly what year the knife was

Blade is a massive .245 thousands thick... a full 1/4" thick of high carbon blade steel !!!

Handle is Gorgeous Genuine Stag as is the pommel...very nice color and character all the way around the handle & pommel

Comes with its Original Marble's stamped deep oil tanned leather sheath...the sheath has the internal cut guard that is a very nice feature in a sheath...saves alot of hassle from booger-in up your sheath especially with these big blades knives
