When the Lauermans bought Marble's in 1994 folk's, they hired Mike Stewart to head their knife division. They then began an onslaught on very innovative new blade patterns and also brought back 100 year old patterns like this Expert...adding 52/100 blade steel that took several top prizes in the ABS sponsored National Cutting Championships...I believe sincerly that Marble's knives from the mid 1990's to 2001 were some of the very best they made in their storied history !!!

This is the Marble's Expert 3. This knife is the Marbles Corp. longest running pattern than any other of Marbles original designs !!! This knife arrived in the Marble's line in 1906 !!! W.L. Marble's intent was to offer a a knife suited to the professional hunter, guides, trapper, that needed a light blade for skinning & dressing, yet with enough strength to handle all the rest of regular outdoor chores !!!

Make No mistake about this knife folk's...it is a large heavy knife that comes in only 1/4" shorter than a Case Kodiak !!!

Handle is Gorgeous Heavy Stag with a Stag pommel...just beautiful smoothness with great Stag bark all the way around makes this knife very comfortable in the hand, and the pommel is offset stag that completes this really nice feeling handle in your hand...you would not believe how the double hilt blends with your hand while holding it in several positions while using !!!
