Folk's, the Ideal Hunting knife was Webster Marble's 1st attempt at knife making, and as it turned out, his most successful. Introduced to the world in 1899, W L Marble had this to say about his design : This knife is the Ideal cross between a sticking and skinning knife.... hand made, hand tested. There is about as much difference between our Ideal Hunting knives and any other knife... as there is between a porcupine & a grizzly bear !!!

This is the Marble's Ideal

This is Marble's 1st knife pattern. Prototyped in 1899 in the 1st versions, and by 1901, this Marble's Ideal pattern took America by storm !!! It was in the cockpit on the 1st trans-atlantic flight, carried by explorers worldwide on expeditions to every corner of the world !!! By the end of its 3rd decade of production, (1930) from Pole To Pole, around the globe, the Marble's Ideal was the hunting knife that by which all others were measured !!!

Knife was made in Gladstone, Michigan, U.S.A. at the Marble's Custom Shoppe LLC

This is a half Guard / Hilt Ideal

Blade is Stamped: M.S.A. Co. Gladstone Mich. USA on the front and Custom 2003 on the off side

Blade is etched : 1 of 50 ...Blade is brushed finish high carbon. Ideals are 1st recognized by the Huge Fuller on each side. Heavy brass guard and the famous Marble's spacers.

It is handled in simply Gorgeous One piece Stag, Stag has great roughed out Stag Bark all the around the handle, just tons of character...bonus on this Custom Ideal..butt cap is Genuine Buffalo horn 

Comes to ya New, in original Marbles box, never used or carried

Also has the Original Marble's deep oil tanned leather sheath that is a collector's item in itself...made with a sharpening stone pouch and stone is Included...stamped with the old 1900 turn of the century MARBLE Trademark as is the 2 button snaps
