† – I had originally listed this knife as having Rogers Board handles. I believe that listing may possibly have been in error. I do have documented proof that Camillus used Rogers Board for the handles of many TL-29s. I believe Tom Williams, the late historian of Camillus Cutlery Company told me that Rogers Board was also used on some of the Barlows, but I cannot find my notes on that at this time. The handles are indisputably a composite material, as is Rogers Board, but what I cannot document at this time is that the composite on this Barlow is indeed Rogers Board.

ADDITIONAL INFO:      If you don’t have a Camillus Barlow in your Barlow collection, you are missing one of the most common Barlow patterns on the market. Camillus made knives for a lot of other companies and you will find many names on the Barlows made by Camillus. This one is branded Camillus. I am not a big fan of trying to date knives by tang stamps, especially not Camillus, but this tang stamp is generally accepted to have been used between 1960 and 1976. I used to believe this to be roughly correct, but this knife has Rogers Board handles. We know that Camillus began using Delrin about 1960 or 1961. We don’t know exactly when they stopped using Rogers Board and begin using Delrin but a close examination of this handle world will reveal that it is not Delrin. I suspect this knife was made prior to 1960, probably the mid-to-late 1950s. This is a good one to add to your pocket or to your collection!
