Northwoods Scagel Series #3, Large Trapper, 1 of 200
This is a Northwoods Scagel series #3 large trapper with sambar stag handles. Stag handles are very even and well matched. Bill Horn of Cumberland Knife Works had actually run out of these when I ordered this, and gentleman that he is, he offered to sell me his personal knife from his collection. This knife is unused, like new. It comes in original white PVC box, with charcoal grey flannel slip cover.
This knife is 4" long closed, blades are 3.25" long. However these dimensions belie the size and heft of this knife -- it feels very substantial in the hand. Main blade is a standard clip, secondary is sort of a cross between and spear and a wharncliffe. Both blades are .150" thick, made of 1095 high carbon steel.
