This is one Marbles knife that was a very limited run, and hardly ever seen with these handles and made when they were still using the Bobcat box !!! I feel that when the Lauerman's & Mike Stewart made this knife & handle pattern, they were trying to bring back the look of the old turn of the century (gutta percha ) handles. Regardless, this knife is a guttin, skinning, machine !!! 

Folk's, this is one of my favorite Marbles hunting knives. This is the Marbles Sport. This knife pattern came out about 1930, as a smaller version of the Expert. In the 1930's, this knife was the Offical knife of the Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts of America. Its a great drop point hunter, and some of the oldtimer's I have talked to here in Michigan use to call this pattern a Willow Leaf

This is the Marbles Sport

Knife is 8" OAL

Blade is 3 5/8" and is high carbon steel with a brushed finish

Blade is stamped: Marbles, this knife was made in Gladstone, Mich. U.S.A. Note how deep the stamp is, this is the way they were stamped back in 2001-3 when their stamp changed

This knife was made about 2002, and has the Banner Marbles stamp

Scales are Kraton rubberized Safe Grip W/ Marbles logo stamped in

Comes to ya in Mint condition. This knife would be a great user to get right out in the field. I do not feel you could buy better for the price. Great handle to grip while you are doing field dressing chores !!!

Comes with a very nice sheath that holds the knife great. It is a holster type sheath and very very comfy to wear, as the knife does not stick up way above the sheath. It is a Blackie Collins design on the sheath, and has his signiture on a tab on back of sheath. This sheath is Very stiff, and the quality of it will surprise you when you get it in your hand !!!
