ADDITIONAL INFO: The 1990 Camillus catalog posted on collectors-of-camillus website; http://www.collectors-of-camillus.us/Catalogs/1990-Catalogs.pdf shows the #710 “Peanut Knife” in the four finishes in which Camillus offered that pattern: 710Y (yellow Delrin handle), 710BL (black Delrin handle), 710C (brown Cabone handle) and the 710S (India Stag handle). It is significant for Camillus collectors to note this listing is on page 7 of the 1990 Camillus catalog and the description above the listing of the four variations of the 710. The significance is that the catalog describes all four handle types as being “four popular Delrin® handle styles.” Camillus collectors of often puzzled and discussed what material exactly were Cabone handles made from and also India Stag handles. We know the answer to that at least in 1990 was Delrin®.
Here is your chance to add this 710S to your Camillus collection. And now you know the other three knives you will need to find to complete the four peanut knives from Camillus.
