I have listed this knife before, but I have done some research and have more information about the knife.  I have read and talked with experts about the Barry Wood rotating folders.  From online auctions and sales, some people seem to believe the COLT style knives were the first ones made.  Everyone I have talked to say the Mk1 style knife in original tube were made before any of the Colt style knives.  I believe this knife was made in the 1971-1972 time frame.  The infamous short lived venture between Bob Loveless and Barry Wood was in 1973, after this knife was made.  It has a serial number #788, but Barry Wood knives did NOT have serial numbers issued sequentially. An oline "estate sale" has a knife virtually identical to this one and they have it priced at $650.  Feel free to send me any questions you might have.

Selling my Barry Wood Custom Rotating folder. This is an iconic knife from back in the day.  The serial number that is handwritten on the paperwork is "788".  I have had this knife for more than 25 years and it has been stored away that entire time.  Nice original old knife, near mint condition. The plastic tube is the way these knives were delivered from the maker.
