ADDITIONAL INFO:      This is a cool old teardrop jack knife that I fell in love with when I first saw it. These bolsters have it all, first of all there slanted, then grooved, then pinched on the end and it’s a teardrop! Yes, the blades are short, it has been used is still good and tight and has more snap than I usually like in a knife, but I don’t mind with this little beauty. It is stamped BESTSTEEL/WARRANTED and no country of origin on it. Bernard Levine in “Levine Guides to Knives and Their Values”, fourth edition; list the country of origin as “U.S.A.?” and dates it c. 1930s. Goins Encyclopedia Of Knives And Their Values says only: “circa 1945-1960”

I don’t know who made the knife, I don’t know even what country the knife was made in but I did carry it for a while and it has good steel and does hold an edge.
