CONDITION:  Very Good to Near Fine

 

The issues I see with this book involve the cover; scuffing of the paper cover is pretty common with this type of book and this one has a few of those scuffs. See the pictures of the front and rear cover. The lower left corner of the front cover folded over when I was making the photocopy of the cover, which to me is the most glaring defect in this book. The inside looks pristine. Comes from a smoke-free home.

 

 

 

Grading Standards:

 

FINE:   No defects, as new when first purchased (Like New)

 

NEAR FINE:  May have 1 or 2 very minor defects. 

 

VERY GOOD:  Used condition, same as above only it may have two or three more minor defects such as small tears, scratches, small stains to covers, or minor tears and creases to inside pages.

 

GOOD:  As above only it may have a split hinge, larger tears to covers, soiling or staining of covers, whatever the defect it should be described in detail.

 

FAIR:   As above with folds and tears throughout, markings to content.

 

POOR:   As above with loose bindings, missing and torn pages throughout. 

 

 

ADDITIONAL INFO:   I am a knife guy and I also like books, but I’ve never sold them before so I’m not sure about grading the condition of used books. I pulled this grading system off the web.
