ADDITIONAL INFO:      I had this old Leatherman Super Tool that I didn’t really use it was rusty, beat up on the outside with lots of dings in the handles a chip out of the serrated blade, some corrosion on the fine edge clip point blade and in general surface rust throughout the whole tool. The entire old thing fit into a generic nylon sheath. I thought since I’d ever use this thing I should put it in my store and maybe get 20 bucks for it. But I decided to send it to Leatherman, if nothing else than to see how their customer service is. I must say I was very impressed! The Leatherman Super Tool® was replaced by the Super Tool 200 which was then discontinued and replaced by the Super Tool 300. The difference between them are slight although there are upgrades to the wire cutters, the cutting edges can be replaced in the newer models. I sent this old Super Tool into Leatherman Tool Group for repair. I called and explained that I would be happy to pay for the repairs, and they said that was no problem. About a week to 10 days after I mailed my old Super Tool to Leatherman Tool Group this new, apparently old stock, Super Tool showed up in my mailbox. I know this is not my old Super Tool that has been refurbished because some of the deep dings and scratches in the handles were too deep to be removed. I had the old pictures I had taken of the tool showing damage to a number of the individual blades and this new tool has no damage to any blades. They had replaced my old Leatherman with the new old stock Super Tool of the same model. I was very pleased! I decided to go ahead and sell the new Super Tool but I couldn’t very well put it in the old nasty nylon sheath so I ordered a new replacement Leatherman leather sheath for it. The old prices I saw for the Leatherman Super Tool® was $89.98. You can buy this new old stock Leatherman Super Tool® with factory sheath for $50. Such a deal!
