ADDITIONAL INFO:      The Camillus #67 stockman pattern was a very good pattern and a popular size. It appears to have been made right up until the end of Camillus, appearing in the 2006 catalog. It is a classic size and shape made in the traditional style. The handles are held on with brass pins and not with portions of the handle injection molded into the liners. This was probably one of the last large classic stockman patterns produced from the old time American slip joint manufacturers. Camillus called this a medium stockman but they also produced the Yello- Jaket #711Y, which was a 4 inch stockman that Camillus called a premium stockman. With the possible exception of Utica Cutlery the #67 and #711Y for the last of the large classic slip joint stockman patterns produced by the old school American cutlery manufacturers. There have been some fine large stockman knives produced since that time by some of the newer manufacturers like Canal Street, Great Eastern Cutlery, and Bear & Sons Cutlery, but when Camillus close their doors in 2007 and ended the era of the old American cutlery manufacturers. Camillus started in 1898 as Camillus Knife Co. and was purchased by A. Kastor & Brothers in 1901 and renamed Camillus Cutlery Company. This knife is a classical piece of American cutlery history.
