Vintage 1930s Finnish Ponsipää Puukko Knife by Iisakki Järvenpää Kauhava #8749
DESCRIPTION
A vintage Finnish puukko knife 'Ponsipää' manufactured by the Iisakki Järvenpää workshop in Kauhava, Finland, approximately in the 1930s. The black galalite handle is engraved with a silhouette of a furry animal. It is fitted with amber rings and a decorated nickelsilver lower mount. The fullered carbon steel blade is signed by the manufacturer. The side-stitched leather sheath comes with a leather belt strap.
CONDITION
The knife is in good vintage condition with minor signs of age and wear. The amber rings of the handle are partly cracked. The knife and the sheath fit well together.
