DESCRIPTION
A vintage Finnish puukko knife 'Horsehead' manufactured by the Iisakki Järvenpää workshop in Kauhava, Finland, approximately in the 1930s. The black galalite handle is engraved with the Finnish coat of arms and some floral motifs, and it is fitted with decorated nickelsilver mounts, the upper one cast in shape of a horsehead. The owner's name 'ARTHUR WIKLUND' is engraved on the top of the coat of arms. He was a successful Finnish pharmacist who had worked in Vyborg. The fullered carbon steel blade is signed by the manufacturer. The nickelsilver-mounted back-stitched leather sheath comes with a metal belt hook.

CONDITION
The knife is in good vintage condition with minor signs of age and wear. The knife and the sheath fit well together.
