Vintage Press Button Knife Co Victor 

This is an antique switchblade made by the Press Button Knife Co a division of the Walden Knife Co of Walden, NY sometime before 1923. This model was called "The VICTOR" which means it's the largest model with folding guards. It's the same size as the more common Invincible model measuring approximately 4 7/8 inches closed and approximately 8 3/4 inches open with steel liners and nickel silver bolsters and folding guards.

The clip blade is nearly full, retaining most of its original form, with some scratches, carbon and light to moderate pitting. Overall a nice blade that is marked PRESS BUTTON KNIFE CO WALDEN NY on the front tang and US PAT 470605 on the rear. The jigged bone scales are very attractive and in near perfect condition with no chips and one small pin crack. The knife works well with blade tip sitting just below the scales when closed. Decent snap, probably not as good as it once was and it does locks open with some side to side and back and forth movement.
