Edwin J. Hoffritz was born in NYC in 1917. He became the largest US importer of knives, with a 20 thousand sq. ft. retail store in Manhattan. His Latama made switchblade, tang stamped Edwin J. sells for hundreds of $$.
This seahorse folder dates to the late 50s, 3 5/8" closed, the gnarly stag looks mint with just a touch of smoothness on the high spots. The master blade tang stamp uses the old Hoffritz logo with Italy below. Never honed with most of its mint luster. The secondary blade has all its mint luster. All tight with loud alligator snap in both directions.
