Large Multi Blade Occupied Japan Folder Jigged Honey Bone 6" Closed Sanko Cop. Japan Blades Snap
The brass bolster is stamped 'Occupied Japan'. The American occupation of Japan took place between 1945 and 51, just imagine ex Japanese soldiers making these knives...it is huge, 6" including the bail. 1" wide and weighing almost a pound. Beautifully made, even with the black fiber master blade stop like a Remington. Nine 9 functions. All full blades. The master blade might have been honed once and the tang stamp Sanko Co. is still in business today! Most likely a GI bring back. Oxidation but no rust. Return if not delighted!
