Part of a recent 37 piece collection of knives purchased from a fellow AAPK member.  This collection includes many Marbles by Dave Shirley, Wendell Carson, S&M, Robeson, some very special Kabar knives and a few others.  

Marbles Arms owned by Mike Stewart, set out in 2001 to produce high quality American made traditional pocket knife patterns.  They contracted with Queen to produce all the parts for these knives and they were delivered to Marbles MSA in Gladstone MI for assembly and fit and finish.  This is one of the initial patterns and handle materials that were produced in 2001.  The production of knives done in 2002 and 2003 were done by Queen under the watchful eye of Dave Shirley at Queens custom shop.  After this all the Marbles knives were made in China.

This is a Wharncliffe whittler made in 2001.  The handles are stag and are chip and crack free.  The carbon steel blades have not been used or resharpened and retain their factory edges.  The main blade is lazy with just a little snap, doesn't seem to be a matter of tension but of being pinned too tightly, the other blades snap as expected.  Priced accordingly, no offers.  Measures 3 1/8" closed OAL  No box, but I will include a zippered storage pouch.  Free shipping within the USA.
