Made in America!

This is a fantastic example of the early Buck knives, which came from humble beginnings in sunny San Diego, California. The 300 series debuted in 1967, re-establishing American dominance in the pocket knife industry. In 1972, the 311 Slimline Trapper pattern was added to the series. This knife is from the earliest model variation, which dates it from 1972 to 1974. The tang stamp reads “BUCK”/”Made in”/”USA” on the mark side and “311” on the pile side of the main blade, which is a 3 ¼” clip point made of satin finished 440C stainless steel. The secondary blade is a spey blade of the same dimensions which is free of any stamps or markings. The scales are the iconic black sawcut delrin, with the classic hammer and bolt shield. It has beautiful nickel silver slant blosters, brass spacer, liners and pins. The main blade has good snap on open and close, no wobble or play. The secondary blade has great snap on open and close, also without any wobble or play. No signs of being used, carried or sharpened, with factory edges. There are very minor scuffs and blemishes on the bolsters and scales (see pics) Like new! No box.
