Antique German Rare Ring Twist Frame Opening Switchblade Knife, August Knecht, Used. 

Really interesting knife from Germany. It's a rare automatic opening knife variation made in the 20's-30's. The handle is one piece of steel that pinches together at the base to hold the blade closed. There's a ring attached to a tab at the base of the handle. When you twist that it spreads that handle and the blade springs open. It's marked AUG. KNECHT GERMANY on the front tang.

- The knife is used. There is light patina, scuffs, scratches and other signs of carry and use on the knife. The blade has nicks in the edge from hitting the handle when closing. I don't see any other condition issues. See the pictures as they represent the condition accurately. 

- It fires well. Twist the ring to open and close the blade. It does not lock open. 

- 5.125 inch total length, 2 inch blade. 

- Knife only.
