Up for sale is a vintage Wallkill River Works 3-blade stockman pocket knife, made in Walden, New York — a piece of American cutlery history from the Hudson Valley region. This is a great example of mid-20th-century craftsmanship, especially notable for its striped celluloid handles featuring red, green, and white lines against a warm reddish-brown base. Very distinctive and collectible!

• Blades: All three have the WALLKILL RIVER / WORKS / WALDEN N.Y. tang stamp. They show honest age-related patina and pitting but retain their original shape with decent snap.

• Handles: Beautiful celluloid scales with multi-color stripes. No major cracks, but you’ll see some typical age-related shrinkage and light scratching.

• Liners & Pins: Brass liners and nickel silver pins.

Condition Notes: This knife has seen some use but is still tight and functional. Blades have surface oxidation and tarnish consistent with age. No wiggle in the blades and all open and close with good spring action. Backsprings are firm.

Wallkill River knives were only produced for a short time in Walden, NY, making these increasingly sought-after by collectors. This example stands out with its colorful handle pattern and classic stockman profile.
